Editor's Note
Dumlu (Tumlu) Castle sits on a hard limestone hill about 75 metres high, west of the Sağkaya area in the Ceyhan district of Adana. Thought to have been built in the 12th century, it has a perimeter of 800 metres, eight bastions, and a watchtower at its eastern corner overlooking the plain. Building remains and cisterns lie within the castle, with rock-cut tombs scattered around it.
