Editor's Note
Yılankale is a castle built on a steep hill commanding the Ceyhan plain, near the Ceyhan district of Adana. It was constructed by King Levon I during the period of the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia. Locals also call it Şahmeran (Snake King) Castle.
