Editor's Note
The Seydiköy Tumulus is a tumulus in the Gaziemir district of İzmir, built in the 6th century BC. It was once under official protection, but after the protection decision was lifted and development was permitted, the İzmir Optimum mall was built on its original site and the tumulus was moved about 50 metres away. It was reconstructed at its new location in 2011.
