A mound in the Dörtyol district about 30 km north of İskenderun, just inland from the shore of the Gulf of İskenderun. Inhabited from the Late Neolithic through the Hellenistic period, it is considered one of the largest ancient settlements in Cilicia; its ancient name is said to have been Issos, and it had two harbours.
