Editor's Note
Kulaksızlar Höyüğü (also known as the Kulaksızlar marble idol workshop) is a marble-working and figurine production settlement dated to the Copper Age, located near the Kulaksızlar neighbourhood in the Akhisar district of Manisa. As a centre producing especially 'Kilia-type idols' and conical marble 'rhyton' vessels, it is regarded as one of the earliest documented examples of craft specialisation in western Anatolia.
