Phazemon, also known as Thermai Phazemoniton, was a town in the west of ancient Pontus, south of the Gazelonitis and north of Amasia, noted for its hot mineral springs. After his victory over Mithridates, Pompey founded a colony here and renamed the town Neapolis, after which the surrounding district came to be called Neapolitis.
