Mokissos, also called Nora, was a town of ancient Cappadocia, located about 30 km south of central Aksaray near Helvadere. After being rebuilt by the Byzantine emperor Justinian, it was renamed Justinianopolis and made the capital of the province of Cappadocia Tertia.
