Editor's Note
The Galata Mevlevi Lodge, also known as the Kulekapı Mevlevihane, is a historic Mevlevi dervish lodge in Istanbul's Beyoğlu district, today operating as the Galata Mevlevi Lodge Museum. Built in 1491 by İskender Paşa, it was the first Mevlevi lodge in the city, its first sheikh being Semâî Mehmed Dede, and over time it grew into a complex through various repairs and additions.
