Editor's Note
It was built by Sultan Mahmud I in AH 1161 [1748]. The Bayıldım Pavilion, built on a terraced garden created in front of the hill aligned with the Selamlık Garden of Dolmabahçe Palace, is a low, sprawling structure with a hipped roof, probably covered with traditional tiles, with its front sections apparently two storeys and its rear section resting on the ground. Behind it lies a garden of densely planted trees.
