Editor's Note
A Legacy of Sultan Abdulhamid II. First known to have been built in AH 1261 / AD 1845, the structure was rebuilt in AH 1318 / AD 1900 by Ahmed Abdulgani Aga, one of the chief eunuchs of Abdulhamid II. Discovered on the verge of disappearing and restored true to its original form between 2016 and 2017 by the Beykoz Municipality, the "Sheikh Ethem Efendi Lodge" was opened to service under the name "Sheikh Ethem Sirri Efendi Culture House." www.dostbeykoz.com
