Editor's Note
It was built in 1741 (AH 1154) by Ishak Aga, the Customs Superintendent who served as Voyvoda of Galata during the reign of Sultan Mahmud I. It has the form of a cylindrical column. It bears a three-line inscription, above which is a rose motif. The additions made beside the cylinder were placed there by the Beykoz Municipality in 1999. During a technical inspection on 14 January 2026, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality found that the fountain had been removed.
