Editor's Note
The building is today used as the Mustafa Necati Culture House. Thought to have been built in the 1920s (before 1927), and for this reason regarded as a product of the "Early Republican Period" architectural sensibility, its architect is unknown. According to records in the archives of the Ankara City Development Directorate, the building was commissioned by Sait BEKTİMUR, one of the bureaucrats of the period. From the late 1930s to the late 1940s the building was also used as the Iraqi Legation (Embassy).
