In the bustling center of Adıyaman, the Clock Tower—a legacy that measures time and keeps the hours, much like those of Istanbul—is one of the symbolic structures of 19th-century Ottoman modernization. Built with brick and a stone roof, with a rectangular cross-section and symmetrical form, the structure rivals the clock towers of the capital.
