Editor's Note
The Abdullah Paşa Mansion, the last of the pasha mansions built in Divriği, was constructed in three storeys using the timber-frame technique with mudbrick infill. The mansion's roof was built as a tiled roof in varying forms and levels to suit the heights of the rooms. The mansion is entered through a decorated, double-leaf door on the southern facade. In the courtyard there is an inscribed fountain and a well. In the Abdullah Paşa Mansion the men's and women's quarters are gathered on the same floor and linked by an intermediate door, which marks an important change for houses built in the provinces.
