Editor's Note
The Ebu Muzafferüddin Minaret belongs to the Ayyubid Mosque, built during the Ayyubid period between 1199 and 1244, which survives today only through its minaret. Designed with five tiers, the structure is also popularly known as the "Broken Minaret" or "Kot Minaret" because its upper part has collapsed. The square-plan minaret was built of regular dressed white stone and reached a height of about 35 meters. Its shaft is divided into five sections by horizontal torus moldings, each section worked with different floral and geometric ornamentation.
