Editor's Note
The Diyarbakır Archaeological Museum is the first museum of the Diyarbakır Museum Directorate, established in 1934. Today it occupies two 19th-century buildings within the Museum Complex in the İç Kale (inner citadel). As of 2024 its collection holds about 36,000 inventoried artifacts. After registered structures in the İç Kale were converted into the museum grounds, it officially opened on 25 May 2015.
