Editor's Note
The Temple of Athena Polias in Priene was an Ionic temple northwest of the city's agora and its principal sanctuary, dedicated to Athena Polias. Built around 350 BC with sponsorship from Alexander the Great, it is believed to have been designed by Pytheos, the architect of the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, and stands at the foot of Mount Mycale.
