Editor's Note
Shirakavan, originally founded as Yerazgavors, was a medieval Armenian city and one of the historic capitals of Armenia, serving as capital between 890 and 929 under the Bagratid Kingdom of Armenia. It lay on the right bank of the Akhurian River northeast of Ani, corresponding to the present-day village of Çetindurak in the Akyaka district of Kars Province.
