Nyssa was an ancient town and bishopric in Cappadocia, Asia Minor. It holds importance in the history of Christianity as the see of the prominent 4th-century bishop Gregory of Nyssa. Its name continues to be used today as a titular see in both the Eastern Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church.
