Editor's Note
Didyma was an ancient Greek sanctuary on the coast of Ionia, in the domain of the famous city of Miletus. Apollo was its main deity, and it held temples to both Apollo and his twin sister Artemis. Famed for its oracle of Apollo, it ranked alongside Delphi; the Hellenistic remains of its Temple of Apollo are among the best-preserved from classical antiquity, and the site also included a Greek theatre and a temple of Artemis.
