Editor's Note
Göbekli Tepe is a Neolithic archaeological site in Upper Mesopotamia, about 18 km northeast of Şanlıurfa near the village of Örencik. Inhabited from around 9500 BCE during the Pre-Pottery Neolithic, it is known for large circular structures containing some of the world's oldest known megaliths. Many of the T-shaped pillars are decorated with anthropomorphic details and reliefs of wild animals, offering insights into prehistoric religion.
