Ayanis is an Urartian archaeological site on a hill near Ayanis village, close to Lake Van in Turkey. It was built as a fortress by the Urartian king Rusa II and named after him Rusahinili Eidurukai. The site was occupied during the Iron Age II period and again in the Middle Ages between the tenth and eleventh centuries.
