Küçüktepe Mound, rising near the village of Çakırbeyli in Koçarlı, is a silent witness to a cultural history reaching deep into Anatolia. A settlement center for different civilizations over thousands of years, this area illuminates the way of life in antiquity through the remains emerging from the earth. The mound's layers contain periods reaching from the Bronze Age to the Iron Age; ceramic fragments and architectural ruins lay bare the daily life of the people who lived here. The motifs seen on the pottery carry the traces of the region's commercial connections and cultural interactions.
