Editor's Note
The Baç Bridge is a historic bridge over the Berdan River in the Tarsus district of Mersin. It was built by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I. Its name comes from the medieval toll called "baç" that was collected from those crossing it. The bridge lies about 2.5 kilometers east of the center of Tarsus.
