Editor's Note
Neapolis lies west of the Doyran settlement in the Korkuteli district of Antalya Province, within Güllük Dağı National Park, on a height called Kel Dağ (Göl Dağ) behind the Doyran pond. Brought to scholarly attention through the research of Prof. Dr. Nevzat Çevik and his team, the city is thought to have been founded as a military or watch settlement within the territory of Termessos in ancient Pisidia. It preserves remains from the Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine periods, including a Byzantine basilica, three Roman temples, monuments of a Roman public square, a Roman necropolis, and notably well-preserved dwellings.
