A mound at Medet in Denizli, the site of the ancient Carian town of Apollonia Salbaces (Salbakes), founded on the most fertile lands of the Tavas plain. In antiquity it was a Carian town connected to neighbouring regions by roads to Tabae in the west, Sebastapolis in the south, and Tavas in the east.
