Hippoukome (Hippokome) was an ancient settlement of the Lycian period located in the Dalaman district of Muğla; research has placed its centre at the present-day Çukurasar locality, near the village of Çöğmen. According to an ancient inscription found by a team led by Prof. Dr. Fatih Onur of Akdeniz University, the city received financial support from the Pontic king Mithridates and in return, unlike the other Lycian cities, did not side with Rome. Six rock-cut tombs stand out in the cliffs to the southeast of the city.
