Carissa, also known as Garsi, was a settlement of the Trocmi, one of the three ancient tribes of Galatia, in the region of ancient Galatia. It was inhabited during the Roman and Byzantine periods. The site lies today near Elvançelebi in the Mecitözü district of Çorum.
