Sagalassos is an archaeological site in southwestern Turkey, about 7 km northeast of Ağlasun in Burdur Province, set on Mount Akdağ at an altitude of 1,450-1,700 metres. Roughly 100 km north of Antalya and 30-40 km from Burdur and Isparta, in Roman Imperial times it was known as the 'first city' of the region.
