Editor's Note
Philadelphia was a city in the interior of western Anatolia within ancient Lydia, one of the ten cities forming the Decapolis of the Katakekaumene region. It lay at the foot of the Tmolos (Bozdağlar) range, south of the Kogamis river, at a strategic crossroads linking Sardis to its hinterland.
