Ophryneion (Ophrynium) was an ancient Greek city in the northern Troad region of Anatolia, located about 1.5 km north-east of the village of Erenköy in Çanakkale Province. It was situated on the steep brow of a hill overlooking the Dardanelles, hence its name derived from the Ancient Greek ophrus (ὀφρῦς), meaning "brow of a hill." Its territory was bounded by Rhoiteion to the west and Dardanus to the east.
