Editor's Note
Achilleion was an ancient Greek city in the southwest of the Biga Peninsula in Anatolia, on the cape known as Beşika, about 2 km south of present-day Yeniköy in the Ezine district of Çanakkale. The place regarded in classical antiquity as the tomb of Achilles lies a short distance from a tumulus known as Beşiktepe.
