Iasos was an ancient city in the Kıyıkışlacık neighbourhood of the Milas district of Muğla, about 26 km west of Milas, at the end of a small cove in the Gulf of Güllük. Its inhabitants believed the city had been founded by settlers who came by sea from Argos in the Peloponnese.
