Editor's Note
The Çine National Forces Museum, in the Çine district of Aydın, occupies a historic building constructed between 1906 and 1909 under Sultan Abdülhamid II and long used as a military recruitment office. Restored by the Çine Municipality, it opened in 2008 as an ethnography museum. It displays weapons, official documents and period costumes from the Turkish War of Independence, along with wax figures of Colonel Şefik Aker and Yörük Ali Efe.
