Editor's Note
The Erzurum Museum, in the Yakutiye district of Erzurum, holds artefacts from prehistory and the Seljuk, Ottoman and War of Independence periods. The collection was first displayed in 1944 at the Yakutiye Madrasa and later at the Twin Minaret Madrasa, and the museum's first dedicated building opened in 1968. The museum was renewed and reopened in a different building on 19 August 2023.
