Editor's Note
The Mother Museum, in Ankara's Altındağ district, was founded by the writer Şermin Yaşar and opened on 29 April 2024. Spread across two buildings, it presents paintings, sculptures and collections on motherhood, along with a garment Atatürk wore as a child, belongings of his mother Zübeyde Hanım, and motherhood medals from various countries. It also features traditional wedding items, the figure of Umay Ana, and lullabies in several languages.
