Located in the Altınordu district of Ordu, the Paşaoğlu Mansion was built in the late 19th century and is one of the fine examples of Ottoman-era palatial architecture. Its sturdy timber structure reflects the masterful workmanship of the period. The interior of the mansion has been arranged as an ethnography museum and houses the rich cultural heritage of the Black Sea region. The floor coverings, wall decorations, and original furniture carry visitors back through the centuries. The museum's collection displays traditional garments, handicrafts, agricultural tools, and objects of everyday life. Ordu's important role in Black Sea trade and the way of life of the local people are reflected in these works. The examples of women's textile arts, in particular, document the region's weaving tradition. During your visit, we recommend listening to the guide tell the room-by-room history of the mansion; in every corner there is a story.
