The Corum Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography is a respected institution located near Hattusa, the Hittite capital, and home to some of Anatolia's richest archaeological treasures. While the museum building presents an impressive appearance in the city center, inside it displays striking collections of Hittite-era ceramics, sculptures, and inscribed stone fragments, along with finds from the Chalcolithic period and the Iron Age. One of the museum's most valuable pieces are the terracotta figurines that reflect daily life and religious beliefs. In the ethnography section, it is possible to see traditional Corum weaving arts and hand-embroidered garments, a living witness to the colorful history of local culture. During your visit, do not forget to ask the guide about cuneiform writing; deciphering the messages the Hittites left thousands of years ago is like a journey through time.
