Located in the heart of Amasya, the Miniature Amasya Museum displays the works of master artists who have recreated the city's rich cultural heritage on a small scale. The detailed miniatures, surviving from the Ottoman and Republican eras to the present day, offer cultural documents that invite you to gaze upon Amasya's past centuries as if through open windows. In this collection, which proves the incredible patience and keen eye of the craftspeople, the city's architectural fabric, the life of its tradesmen, and its everyday civilization are reflected impressively in miniature. The museum is set in a historic building reminiscent of classic Amasya stonework, and each piece carries the story of an era. An interesting detail: in some miniatures, the markets and bazaars of long ago are depicted so vividly that visitors feel as though they are walking the streets of Amasya and meeting eyes with its past residents.
