Editor's Note
A museum in the Söğüt district of Bilecik. The three-storey wooden building was originally an Ottoman dispensary built in the early 1900s, restored and opened as a museum in 2001. It displays ethnographic items of the Bilecik-area Yörüks such as old clothes, carpets, flags and weapons, alongside Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman earthenware and coins. Söğüt is the town where the Ottoman Empire originated and where Ertuğrul, father of Osman I, has a tomb.
