Editor's Note
Pembe Köşk (Pink Villa) is an Ottoman-era house in Ankara, the oldest villa in the city, where Turkey's second president İsmet İnönü spent some 48 years; it takes its name from its pastel pink facade. İnönü bought the small vineyard villa in 1923 and lived there with his family from 1925, and the house was frequently used for strategic meetings by Atatürk. Today it serves as a semi-museum, open to visitors for about a month each around 23 April and 29 October.
