Editor's Note
The Yıldız Tile and Porcelain Factory is a museum-factory in the grounds of Yıldız Park in Istanbul. It was founded between 1892 and 1894 to meet the tile needs of the Ottoman palace and to revive the declining art of tilework. As the oldest such facility in Turkey still in production, it is today administered by the Directorate of National Palaces.
