Editor's Note
Known in antiquity as the Calycadnus and in the Middle Ages as the Saleph, the Göksu is a river crossing the Taşeli Plateau in southern Turkey. Its two branches rise in the Taurus Mountains—the northern in the Geyik Mountains and the southern as the Gökdere—and meet south of Mut. The combined stream then flows south to form the Göksu Delta, emptying into the Mediterranean near Silifke.
