Editor's Note

Sabancı Center is an office skyscraper complex near Büyükdere Avenue in Istanbul, consisting of two towers of 158 and 140 metres; the taller, Akbank Tower, belongs to Akbank and the other to Sabancı Holding companies. Design began in the summer of 1987, construction ran from April 1988 to May 1993, and the complex was opened on 20 October 1993.
