Editor's Note
The Bursa Forestry Museum, opened in 1989, is Turkey's first museum dedicated to forestry. It occupies a historic Ottoman-era mansion known as the Saatçi Köşkü on Çekirge Avenue and was founded by Zafer Öztaptık. Its collection of around two thousand items includes animal and plant fossils, forestry instruments, maps and photographs, and fossils of sequoia trees that once grew in Anatolia.
