Pürenli Seki Church in the Ihlara Valley near Aksaray is a rock-cut church of four sections. Its frescoes are dated between the early 10th and the 12th century, and tombs lie in the floor of its narthex. It is notable for paintings depicting the infancy of Christ and Gospel scenes, including the prophecy of the prophets, the Annunciation, the Visitation and the adoration of the shepherds.
