Editor's Note
The Siege of Antioch took place in 1097-1098 during the First Crusade. In the first siege (20 October 1097 - 3 June 1098) the Crusaders captured the Seljuk-held city. A Muslim relief army under Kerbogha, atabeg of Mosul, then besieged the Crusaders for three weeks, but the Crusaders prevailed in battle on 28 June and established the Principality of Antioch.
