Yazılıkaya was an open-air sanctuary of Hattusa, capital of the Hittite Empire, about 2 km northeast of the ancient city in Çorum Province. Its rock chambers are carved with reliefs depicting the Hittite gods, generally regarded as the most important group of Hittite rock art.
