Editor's Note
The tomb beside the Hüsameddin Ankaravî Mosque belongs to Hüsameddin Ankaravî, one of the sheikhs of the "Melâmiyye-i Bayrâmîlik" — known as the second-period Melâmîs — an order founded by Emir Sikkinî (Ömer Sekkinî, Bıçakçı Ömer Dede), a successor of Hacı Bayram-ı Velî. Ankaravî died in AH 964 / AD 1556–57 while imprisoned in Ankara Castle, and was buried by his devotees in the tomb built beside the mosque in the Altıpınar neighbourhood of Haymana. In his travelogue, Evliya Çelebi relates the following about Ankaravî: "He is a successor of Ahmet Sarbânî."
