Editor's Note
This is a mansion with a masonry ground floor and wooden first and second storeys. It was built by İsa Ruhi Pasha, who served as head of the Medical Department of the Ministry of War during the First World War. His son İhsan Ruhi Bey served as Director General of the Mineral Research and Exploration Institute (MTA) and was the man who found the first oil at Raman. The mansion was later sold to Kantarcı Osman Efendi. It was restored anew in 1990 under the supervision of the Monuments Council. There is a well in its garden.
